Europe at your doorstep: Rail Europe launches Eurail and Interrail mobile passes

Paris, France – 30 September 2021 – Say hello to Europe! Rail Europe has launched the mobile version of the best-selling Eurail Passes and Interrail Passes, reigniting people’s enthusiasm for travel and allowing travellers to start planning big for the months to come.

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for! Eurail and Interrail mobile passes are now available on Rail Europe's website.  These 2 famous passes will enrich the pass range already available with Rail Europe. Swiss Travel Pass was indeed launched some months ago.
Both Eurail and Interrail passes are available in two versions:

•            The Global pass, for travel to 33 countries in a given time period.
•            The One Country pass, for exploring a specific European country.

More than 300,000 travellers choose to travel with a Eurail or Interrail pass each year, and with good reason – there’s something about the sheer romance and excitement of seeing Europe by train that appeals to everyone. And with the unbeatable flexibility of a rail pass, it’s super convenient too.

European rail travel offers are constantly evolving. Rail Europe has always inspired travellers from every continent to discover the wonders of Europe by train. In a bid to simplify travel and go green, we are proud to offer the mobile version of two popular rail passes – the most flexible and comprehensive way to travel around Europe,” says Florence Pasquier, Head of Business at Rail Europe.

The mobile rail passes are delivered instantly to your mobile phone, with a free replacement pass if you ever lose your phone. If you’re still deciding on the final details of your trip, don’t worry – you can book your pass now and travel up to 11 months later.

The mobile version of both the Eurail and Interrail passes is ready for use in the “Rail Planner” mobile app. All travellers need to do is enter their name and pass number. They can then plan their journeys and keep all passes for the group or family in one space.

Note that Eurail passes can only be used by non-European citizens or residents, whereas Interrail passes are only for European citizens or residents.
